Crew

Can you really serve God by cleaning bathrooms, hauling firewood, and slicing mountains of vegetables? Yes! Join the Cedar Campus crew for a week-long lesson in practical servanthood. You will have the opportunity to serve God, your chapter, other students and Cedar Campus. Because of your work schedule you will not always be free when students in other tracks have free time. However, all crew track participants will be able to attend evening worship and exposition and chapter prayer.

The requirements for this track are:

A desire to serve God and others whole-heartedly
A willingness to work hard and learn new skills
A readiness to be part of a Christian community
A joyful and uncomplaining spirit
A humble and teachable heart
OR, a desire for growth in any of these areas!

The only cost for this track - either at Cedar Campus & Timber Wolf Lake - is the $50 registration fee. There is also a longer Crew Track option: Summer Crew Internship.

Cedar Campus Crew 2009

The summer work crew program is designed as a practicum in developing the mindset and lifestyle of John 13's foot washing - serving others in ways that empower them to move nearer to God and follow him more faithfully. Students in this program will work full-time with the year-round camp staff to meet the needs of campers and of one another. Crew meet weekly in family groups for fellowship and encouragement, often praying, playing, studying Scripture, or just hanging. Sunday nights are community worship, and every night is community living.

Participants must be at least 18 years of age and be willing to sign InterVarsity's statement of agreement with purpose and doctrine. Positions are available from April 15 to September 15. Preference will be given to those who can work eight weeks or more.
